This professionally designed sofa bed, CNC cut from premium timber, transforms to a full size double bed whilst also offering vast amounts of internal storage including a top loading fridge locker. Buy this one product and get storage, sofa and bed, all in one.
When in sofa mode there's ample floor space alongside for the transport of surf boards, bikes and other lengthy luggage.
The bed bolts to the existing tie down points of the SWB VW Transporter T5/T6 allowing for quick and simple installation. Furthermore, it fits precisely over the rear wheel arch maximising space both inside and alongside the bed.
This particular unit is a fully assembled refurbished ex demo model and as such is substantially discounted. The upholstered cushions alone are worth £460 retail.
Free collection from Portishead near Bristol. Can also deliver for free in Bristol area. Pallet delivery available for £125 - you must have an address suitable to receive a double pallet and the manpower to move the bed once it has been delivered.

Full size double bed
The beauty of a campervan is its ability to bring a comfortable nights sleep to the outdoors. However, many campervan beds, particularly rock’n’roll beds, are as narrow as 107cm, resulting in a cramped night sleep for two people. This bed is 130cm wide and 186cm long, which also allows you to use standard double bed bedding and sheets.
The bed comes with the 4 Herringbone Grey cushions pictured. They are 10cm thick and constructed from a sandwich of memory foam and upholstery foam, providing the optimum comfort balance for both seating and sleeping. The cushion covers are washable and have been professionally upholstered.
Enormous amounts of internal storage
This bed features four enclosed storage spaces. The two largest are easily accessed by lifting the two sofa cushions which have spring assisted hinges.
At the front, there is a slim locker, ideal for storing thermal window blinds, blankets and bedding. At the rear, there is a bigger locker designed to house a Dometic CDF 26 top loading portable fridge. Being a portable fridge, it can easily be taken in and out of the van, meaning the locker can also be used for storage when the fridge is not required. The fridge is not included in this sale.
Comfortable sofa for daytime relaxing or working
The spacious sofa can fit up to four people. With a suitably sized free standing camping table, you can relax on the sofa with a laptop or meal . Pull out just the rear half of the bed, and you can create an L shaped seating area.
Large amounts of alongside space when in sofa mode
One big perk of this style of bed is the long length of floor space it leaves available. This makes transporting long items like surfboards a breeze. Using bike mounts (e.g. from Loaded Bikes) will also allow you to transport one or maybe two bicycles inside. The cantilever overhanging design means the floor doesn’t have to be clear for the bed to be pulled out, meaning precious items can remain inside overnight.
Constructed from a mixture of birch plywood and lightweight laminated furniture plywood
18mm birch ply is used where strength is required whilst weight is saved in other areas by using satin white laminated lightweight furniture ply. The birch has had two coats of Fiddes hard wax oil applied. Solid oak highlights finishes off the design.
Premium components including stainless steel marine hinges and catches, heavy duty slide runners
Slide runners are rated to 250kg per pair meaning they are well up to the task of carrying a person. The bed is completely rock solid, even when pulled out. Stainless steel fittings look great and will stand the test of time.
Notes
This bed is only compatible with the Short Wheel Base (SWB) VW Transporter.
The existing van floor tie down points must be accessible and uncovered to allow this bed to be installed; due to the overhanging design, it cannot simply be screwed down.
You will need to add some velcro to the wall of your van to keep the rear upright cushion in place.
