Passenger window issue after jamming

Hi All
We were away camping at the weekend and in order to vent overnight I went to drop the front windows and rather stupidly left the internal thermal screens in place and pressed the button down to long. The passenger window jammed and we had to pull the screen out hard. Ever since the window has never gone back up fully. We have tried all the usual re set tricks of holding buttons down / up etc and to no avail. We've crept it up enough to sit under the wind deflector but it's still a way off the top so to speak.
Anyone have any other suggestions other than a trip to the garage?
Many thanks
Tom

I would have thought something has got stuck in one of the regulator cable guides. I had a similar thing with the Polo last week. The window wouldn't go up past a certain point. That was down to old age and the cable being frayed, but the same principle.

If you can't see any obstruction then its a door panel off job to see what going on .
Does it go up and come back down again on its own or will it just not go up ?

Cheers guys. Update...
Had a five hour drive back and every say 20mins I gave it a click and it moved up ever so slightly until it eventually made it to the top. Just done a quick test and it seems to be back to normal! The jam must have confused it for a while and it's just steadily had it's upper limit changed.
