Part fallen off - please can anyone help?!!

Sorry, girly question ! Does anyone know what this is? I opened my bonnet last week to top up my windscreen wash and I kicked this on the floor. Don’t know where it came from or what it does. Does anyone recognise it please? It does have a VW and Audi symbol on the rubber bit if that helps?? Van is working fine, but I’m just a bit worried that it might be something important (she says after probably driven a good 100 miles since!).

Part identification.

Morning all. Reversed the van back this morning and this was lying on the floor under the mid offside of the van. Anyone got any ideas what it is and where it’s from before I go out and crawl around underneath. Thanks in advance.
