Parking sensor query

Hi folks whilst im collecting bits to facelift my t5 to t6.1 front end I've encountered a small problem. The holes for the parking sensors are very slightly smaller than my existing T5 sensors. Does anyone know if later ones can be fitted and will the wiring be the same? I know the plugs are different but can they be swapped? Has anyone any experience of doing this?

Think it might be easier and cheaper just to drill the holes a wee bit bigger. I tried it on a spare one and it worked a treat
