Parking in Nottingham

We’re visiting the fair city of Nottingham tomorrow, and the hotel are advising we park at the St James NCP. Thankfully I’ve thought to check in advance and it’s a 1.98m height limit - not something I’d risk in a 1.97m van!!

Does anyone have any recommendations for a parking area that’s safe to park in, has a reasonable height limit for a T6, and is likely to have spaces around 1030am? And as we’re staying overnight, doesn’t cost the earth for just over 24 hours!

We’re south of Nottingham, would it be better to drive to Forest or park at Clifton instead?

Depending on which direction you are coming from you could park over night at The Tram Terminal at Toton , 2 minutes from J25 on the M1 , free parking and get The Tram into Notts.

Coming from the south, looks like the A1 closed for roadworks or something over the weekend so will be the M1 for sure... looks like this could be a winner, just need to get a suitcase with wheels for the overnight stuff...

So you're on Notts central. South Notts is West bridgford and below.
Another option is colwick racecourse park and ride. That's possibly the closest.
