Afternoon

I have a large dog crate that takes up half the width of my T6 SWB load area.

Looking to make a raised storage table / bed. Anyone had experience in making one. Need it to be off the van floor by 70cms and dog crate is 68cms. Got a cargo net to attach once made to secure items down.

Can the also use what space is left underneath for heavy items.

Hope someone understands and has an idea. Boss wife thinks I need the professionals in to do it. Let’s make her wrong for the first time.

Hi @PhantomB34r no need for professionals unless you want a professional looking job🤣! I needed something similar and found an old pine bed believe it or not worked wonders... A lick of deck stain spruced it up.

Was a bit rough and ready but really served it's purpose! Other guys and girls on this forum have made good looking ones out of ply etc or even aluminium section. Here's some pics of my effort! I used to put dog up top in cage depending on what heavy items etc were slid under. Slats at top lifted off etc and front support could be removed to open up if you catch my drift! 😉1000123081.webp

Great idea. Also the boss looks proud to be sat in there.

This is what I did for our two dogs, and used for other things when we don't take the dogs away.
