Overnight parking on route to Holywell in Cornwall

Hi all
Im traveling from the midlands to Holywell Bay Cornwall in the next couple of weeks, to avoid traffic I'm going to leave late on a Friday (midnight onwards), anyone got any tips for parking up for a couple of hours either own the way down or once down there?

Loads of quiet lay-bys, many behind high hedges, just don’t block farmers access or raise attention to yourself.

There are a few little pull in areas around Haldon Forest, just past Exeter. Used by dog walkers during the day, but probably going to be fairly deserted in the early hours.
