OUTWELL TOURING SHELTER v Sunncamp Swift Van Canopy 260

Thinking about getting one of these awnings up for good weather and when I don't want to put up the Kela VI.

I have seen a few people use the Outwell but at £210 is it really much better than the Sunncamp at £135?

I think @moomin-j and @czmate1999 have the OUtwell. Did you consider the Sunncamp?

Anyone else use the Sunncamp?

We've had ours for over 2 years now and it's still as good as new.
I don't think the SunnCamp was available then.
The Outwell has sides that can be rolled up in fine warm weather and the roof let's the light in, through the grey coloured material.
The SunnCamp appears to have dark coloured material for the roof.
For our use, the Outwell ticks all the boxes...

Thanks. I’m not too fussed about rolling the sides up.
Equal price i would pick the Outwell. Im wondeing if its worth an extra £100, almost double.

If you've paid 35-40k for a van, what's £75 extra for the canopy you really want?

Because I’m not sure which i prefer. They both have pluses and minuses so asking

As good as most attached awning/canopies are they nearly all catch on the sliding door and rub the paintwork……i think the people with the fixed wind out have the right idea…..just love my stand alone tent which leave’s the van to sight see

ps Lesson learnt ….if you camp near a dusty track and we get a moderate wind (nearly every day ) expect scratches

But I do think its a bit better the front slopes away from the van rather than towards.

Happy with mine. Suncamp was ent out at the time but I prefer the lighter roof as @moomin-j said. .
