Old MOT Missing

Hi all,
I've found myself in a bit of a situation. I purchased a T6 back in 2021. I completed a vehicle check & at the time the MOT history came back 100%, along with all the other vehicle information.
The vehicle is 2016. Until now I thought everything was fine until I checked recently on DVLA. It showed that the first MOT for 2019 was missing.
I've contacted DVLA & they confirmed that there wasn't one carried out on there records.
Is there anything that I can do to find out? Will this effect the vehicle going forward

Further to my message. The MOT 100% was on what MOT'S had been done & not the total, which I didn't realise

First MOT would be 2020 wouldn't it?

I thought the first three yrs were exempt

1 year 2016 to 2017
2 year 2017 to 2018
3 year 2018 to 2019
1st Mot year 2019 to 2020?
I may be wrong but I'd assume first MOTable date would be in 2020 on anniversary of registration i think

Unless its on the third anniversary...

Was it registered in Northern Ireland by any chance?

So mateys van needed one in 2019

@Lutty Or perhaps the previous owner made the same mistake with when is the MOT due
The van 10 years old you have only realised after 5/6 years of ownership if you sell the new owner only going to be interested in service history and the current MOT

Or if its a DIY conversion it may have taken a year and not used

I thought that but Covid MOT ext didn't really kick in til March 2020 tho so a little late.

Perhaps the previous owner was a Yorkshireman...

COVID....perhaps? One to perhaps flag also for those who may be concerned. My father in law's car is NI registered. 2018... First MOT in 2022 (4 years) had subsequent MOT in 2023 and 2024. Was exempt in 2025 because of back log etc. next one due 2026....

As long as its got a valid mot then does it matter ?
Especially as it was its first and probably warranted little more than a cursory glance over by the tester .

As @ChrisBell said. I think I did the same, living on baked beans and cutting my own hair it didn’t seem to be up there on the list of priorities.
What counts is now not then, a MOT isn’t like an oil service, the MOT is just an indication of the vehicles condition at the point of examination. Like a clean bill of health from the doctor, good until you walk out the door.

When it comes to MOT, only the last one is relevant, and even then it’s only a snapshot of the vehicle at the time of the test. It’s out of date as soon as it’s issued. I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.
