[Fuel line] Leak on to gearbox

Seem to have developed an oil leak, dripping from here. Any advice on how to trace and fix?

Looks like gearbox? Could you clean it all off and see exactly where it’s leaking from. Is the van in warranty?

2016 reg so out of warranty, will clean off and have a look, not much of a mechanic but wanted a better idea before talking to garage / dealer.

Difficult to tell without comparing to another gearbox, but the drain plug seems to stick out a lot. Is the oil clean, or black? If it’s clean, it’s not likely to be engine oil from a diesel, but likely gearbox fluid.

DSG or manual? If the gearbox fluid has been changed, it may be a factor. Can you check the fluid level on the ‘box?

It was a pinprick hole in a fuel line, so was diesel and not oil. No idea how it developed but cheap to fix thankfully.

There is a recall on some vans for fuel leaks.

That plug looks like it's about to fall out.
