OE Cushion Floor in Camper Conversion - any good?

I'm a quater of the way through converting a T6 & have the opportunity to acquire a genuine cushion floor for the rear (same as in a Kombi)

So the question is - are they any good for a Camper Floor & if not then why?

Cheers.......

Are you going for full conversion? Kitchen, R&R bed etc

If so I would say not as good as a laminate floor as the Kombi floor is quite spongy. I would have thought a laminate floor would be easier to fix too.

Having said all that, I am not a convertor, just my opinion. :)

Yep, going the whole hog.

The 'sponginess' was my main concern with the floor but also it would be nice to stand on & offers excellent insulation & noise suppression

I am pretty impressed with the supplied floor in the Kombi and there is quite a lot of cushioning, that said I have gone for mats anyway in the front and rear seating rea so not sure it would be worth your while, I gather they are expensive and carpet isn't. Mega van mat made me my mats for just over £40, they are that good I am thinking of having one down for the boot space too.
