Non factory roof prep conversion

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone had done a conversion/ drilling for the VW roof rails without factory roof prep?
I think its 2 holes missing each side with fitting fitted from under the roof lining?
Be good if someone on here done it already otherwise I won't bother.

I was looking at a roof rack (GMB) that will only fit into the OEM c rail .

Yes I would be looking at retro fitting the factory roof prep and fitting these rails.

Hi - did you end up doing this? I have the rails (bought from a convertor) but dont have the fittings and obviously need the new holes. I wonder whether it's better taking t somewhere to get it done?
