No TPMS Reset Option

Evening all,

I am three months into owning my T6.1 ABT and am having issues with the TPMS. The van came fitted with 20" alloys and stupidly I have been running them at 57 PSI front and 48 PSI rear as per the tyre pressure display on the dash board.

Needless to say with a bit of reserach I have now dropped the pressures to 40 PSI front and rear. This has triggered the TPMS warning telling me that the pressures are to low. The problem I have is that when I navigate to the TPMS option on the multi media unit it shows the TPMS menu constantly starting and with no option to reset. When I then navigate to vehicle and settings I only have a winter tyres option. What am I missing?

You have direct TPMS fitted to the vehicle so there is no reset
Direct TPMS measures the actual pressure value using a sensor inside the wheel valve, you need to see what tyre options you have saved in the headunit and see if there’s a suitable profile available that has the desired pressures your after, ignore the tyre size for the profile you are only interested in the pressures for each profile and see if you have one around 40 psi which it is highly likely you won’t because all VW factory wheel sizes are 16 or 17 inch and run much higher pressures than 20s

Thanks Pauly that's really helpful so after a bit more reserach I require the additional files to be uploaded to get rid of the dash warning light. Now to find someone in and around the Cotswolds who can assist 🤣

I had direct Tpms issues with my non standard wheel/tyre combo after a few years of the mod and the only way to extinguish the light on the dash was to remove the tpms module and code out the tpms, which Bognor Motors duly did...with the result that my tpms screen now shows what yours is showing.
