Newbie Question- Removal Of Drivers Step

I need to run some wires from the dash to under the drivers seat. I’m assuming it will be easier to do this if I remove the drivers side plastic step so I can route them neatly round the carpet edge. Can someone tell me how to get the step off please? Is it just a case of pulling it out?

You have to remove the plastic covers on the b pillar first then the plastic step just pulls upwards. You’ll probably have to undo the seat belt bolts too

You need to remove the B-Pillar lower trim first as it tucks under there.
