New van damaged at factory.

Ordered my new Cherry Red 150 Kombi in May and to my amazement it arrived last Friday and first impressions were wow I love it. After getting home I went out to pick my son up and when he tried to close the rear sliding door from the inside it wouldn't move but closed fine from the outside decided to have a look at the catch that hooks on the bottom rail and that's when I spotted it! Gutted looks like the bracket has been damaged at the factory before the door was fitted. Now going back to the dealership to get fixed. I am now trying to get something back financially from VW to accept the vehicle.

Wow. How disappointing. The paint finish doesn’t look original either.

Hope they compensate you and repair it, and you can get back to enjoying your new van.

I would be interested to know what other people have been able to get from VW in terms of compensation for similar damage from the factory.
