Hi all

Picking new van up tomorrow, 10 hour round trip but hey ho, will savour the ride down in the Caddy (met more than my expectations to be honest) and indulge in the ride home.

Wanted a transporter for a good while but the time wasn't right, expensive investment but hopefully will give enjoyment over the coming years with plans for maybe bed and table down the line so can venture out on a few overnight excursions exploring the countryside

Pictures to follow and thanks to all for the advice and opinions along the way

Yay, another for Team white:thumbsup:

Yes lovely finish, 1st ever Kombi and great to drive, only a few hours old and already thinking of adding some cosmetic things, can see this burning an extra large hole in the wallet :D

Got 45mpg over a 5 hour drive, not too bad for a 204 I'm guessing

How on earth did you manage that!!?? I've literally just got home from 3 days working in Scotland, and I drove my 204 like an old lady on the way there, and still only got 30mpg, so drove it like i'd stolen it on the way home, and got pretty much the same! Mine is the DSG, and i'm not sure what yours is?

Mine goes in for a re-map next month, and i'd like to say it might be a lot better after that, but realistically the fun factor of pushing it to nearly 250bhp means it's actually going to be far worse on fuel.

I still love it though:)

Lovely van, and great MPG - We find a lot of ours California rentals come back displaying similar MPG - Just need to cruise around 60MP H.

Enjoy

As I've mentioned in another post, sat at 60mph I get over 40 mpg. Push her averaging 80mph and its down to low 30's mpg. Mine a 204 DSG but thats a big difference for just 20mph. But like @Tourershine, I like to push her. Just love the power she delivers from a VAN !!!

Have you broken the satnav yet?
If not then it won’t be long and I await you call.......hahaha.

I did 65 all way home with no stop starts in traffic (couple of 50mph stretches). Initially saying 37mpg for first 100 miles then steadily went up to 45mph and used about one 3rd of tank. Journey was 291 mile and showing 405 mile left. Mine is manual but just had it in cruise mode all way. Must add there was absolutely no weight carried in the van so that probably helped

Must say the 204 has some grunt in the torque department, never opened it out but you could feel and hear the potential just going through the gears steady
