Multi rail. Has any one removed a multi rail? Is it worth doing or does it make to much of a mess?

Most multi rails are not just bonded on but have a series of screws as well which go into the body work. This certainly applies to the genuine reimo rail and the vamoose version.

as above its screwed on, so the holes will need dealing with.

why do you want to remove it? - most ppl want to ADD one.

It's a really handy gutter to stop the rain over the doors as well.

If it's been fitted at all competently you're going to have to make good the paint work from removing the bonding and also make good the holes in the bodywork from the screw holes.

I'd leave it alone if it's sound.

Have a look here to see what's involved in fitting.

So reverse for removing.

I’ve bought the van and the awning is going to be coming off, I’ll leave the rail and see how I feel about it, I’ll be selling the awning if anyone wants one
