Hi everyone don’t know if this will be interesting to anyone so apologies if I’m being boring, but I made up this prototype last week. It has a few rough edges but I am pleased with the concept . ( I made a short video but could not work out how to attach it )
Btw next project poly bushes.
Lots on this thread on the indicators if you haven’t seen it already. I have had it bookmarked and the parts in the garage for about 5 years now so fair play for getting it done!
That’s one of the things I’m not sure about these wing mirror repeaters, this mod has them showing basically just to the front and often people remove the actual side repeater too. Is it a requirement to have it wrap round further? The wife’s Skoda you can see the light clearly in the car, I find it quite distracting but also means people to the side but behind the mirror can see the light

Hi cgtmiles yes I have seen some threads and some stuff on YouTube that’s why I said sorry if I’m being boring . Good luck with your install when you get round to it hope you put some pics on here.
Hi I originally used two small led lights but they weren’t bright enough so when I used the larger light it wouldn’t cover both holes so it was either leave one small light or use a grommet, as I said this is a prototype for now.

This is less a [GUIDE] and more a walk through of how you might do it. I've called it utility lighting as this is more about illuminating the area round the van than for looks. For projector puddle lights there's other threads and kits that use the door lock latch sensor wiring, and that doesn't need much guidance. View attachment 101695 View attachment 101696
I'm sure I've seen a thread where someone used Audi mirror lights that fitted into the housing very well but can't put my finger on it.
Not boring at all @Mickhar it's one of those subjects that seeing different takes on the solution and different pictures all helps the collective knowledge
