Uneven tyre wear and dragging on full lock

Hi, I have had endless issues with the front end of my 2018 ex-RAC T6.

It's now developed two potentially separate issues where the outside edge of the front tyres is wearing excessively. I've recently had the tracking adjusted at Kwik Fit so this may potentially be sorted but I wondered if it could be related to the second issue which is almost as if the one of the wheels is being dragged on full lock, as if it's not steering to the extent it should be and is being pulled around the corner. It's like a jolting from whichever wheel it is. It sounds like the outside wheel but might make more sense from the wear if it was the inside.

I've put a photo up of one of the tyres and there's diagnonal scuff marks all over it, as it is slipping while it's turning.

Has anyone got any ideas? For context the van has had a steering rack reconditioned and refitted, new drop links, new rear wishbone poly bushes in the last year.

Thanks,

Andy

Having a FWA on worn tyres isnt ideal, particularly if the rears hafe a lot more meat on them. Get some new rubber and take it to somewhere set up to do a proper 4 wheel 3d alignment. Crash repair places usually have the best expertise for this, and theyre also set up to get the van in the air to check all components for play and security.

As an aside, has the subframe ever been disturbed for any work? Theres a special tool too re align it when refitting, and if not done properly can cause some weird steering behaviour. Is the rack bolted down securely? Any excess play in the rack of track rod joints? Get the old girl in the air and have a proper and methodical look at the entire steering and suspension, and anything theyre bolted to.

Good luck.
