Mileage dilemma

Hi,

For several weeks I've been trying to source the right T6 for conversion to a Camper. Found two but lost them as not quick enough!

Have a deposit on T6 Highline, crucially Blue and Tailgate. It's only 8 months old but has done 16k miles.

Worried now that's too high mileage and should spend a bit more and get nearly new as I then know how its been treated. Or am I worrying over nothing - have seen video from dealer - they assure me its in good condition but they of course want a sale...

Just wondered what peoples thoughts were...

Thanks in advance

I have done 22k in mine in 14months, 70 miles a day commute. Would rather buy one with mileage rather than a lower miler that has spent its life doing shorts trips.

Thanks guys, couple of views were low mileage is key to a camper retaining value etc, guess swings and roundabouts, we‘ll slow down the mileage rate but obviously it‘s already done 16k in just 8 months, hence my concern

Mine did 60k in 12 months before I got it. Everything suggested that it was longer trips, but I'll not ever really know. It's a good van and I'm not concerned about the mileage.

Looking around there are 3-4 year old bus's with over 100k on them! 16k is nothing to an engine nowdays.

Hi all,

Sorry should have updated - didn't go ahead with the van as in the end a Tailgate wasn't practical - just too tight a fit on the drive when trying to open - when you get carried away it will fit, when sensible head is on and you measure it it won't - sensible head won!!

Ended up with a van that was cheaper with half the mileage!! Oh and white - which really glad went for now.

Booked in with conversion company, have already asked a few questions on this site to which I've had lots of useful info back

Thanks
