Had a really good chat with @VanDamMan today regarding his basic slidepod bed and storage unit (no power, cooker or sink) at Caffeine & Machine.
Been mulling ideas for self build as the cost of the Slidepods basic unit is > £1k. Metal frame and base board easy enough (dust off my welding skills!).
Just looking at mattresses and the Ikea foam one looks reasonable but how do you store it? Rolled up?? Then I notice the washable cover is zipped! So current thinking is to get one, take the cover off and cut into three equal sections then re-assemble in the cover when making up the bed.
£99 for a std double, £110 for a continental double - bargain!!
