Looking to buy

First of all welcome along! I’m afraid that budget seems very optimistic I’m afraid to say but best of luck with the search

There is 3 T6's with full conversion and poptop on Autotrader at 20k or under. šŸ‘

There's also plenty of older vans, T5 and T5.1 for that money.

As long as you are prepared to take your time looking, and can wield a spanner, I'm sure you can find something suitable.

I preferred the drive of the 6.1, but its very much a personal thing. Try a couple and decide for yourself.

Ditto the spec. DSG is great, but requires additional periodic maintaince and while its generally pretty reliable it isn't immune to problems. My van is a very long term ownership proposition so avoided DSG, 4motion, etc, on the KISS principle. However, your priorities are liable to be different so have a think about what spec suits you.

I would avoid any Startline that does not have the business pack. That adds cruise, aircon, Thatcham 1 alarm, and a few other very sensible bits and bobs. If nothing else youll probably curse the absence of aircon on a standard Startline.

Having driven a T6 and I own a 6.1 I would say the T6 feels a bit better built but the 6.1 feels more modern in the cab. I could not distinguish which one was the better drive. But as I was saying to wife just yesterday. Each time I drive my 6.1 I forget just how good it is to drive. But then in fairness I spent some wonga on wheels & suspension.
