Buying first kombi

Think I read on some blog somewhere that combos where just Highline van taken to same factory that does ford(msrt) and converted into combi…. Obviously total crap🤷🏻‍♂️
Anyway after a sleepless night I’ve binned the 74 reg combi that was looking at probably only because of the 100bhp and nearl everyone saying 150…the search continues
Thanks for all helpful advice

It's priced at the bottom end of the Kombi market, probably reflecting it's a conversion
It's a low-powered 5 speed van with some Kombi kit of potentially unknown origin bolted in to it.
Similar age and mileage, twin slider factory Kombis, with more power and potentially better spec can be had for about the same sort of money.
I would like to know what they paid for the Panel Van.
Looks like a quick turn around. Add wheels, carpet, windows and a USB port and sell it for £xxxx more.
3K for parts and 2 days work.

I agree you'd probably want a 150 really, I have one and would like a bit more power. It's fine low down but more for better overtaking and speed on hills with less gear changing really.

The dangers of getting your information from one unverified source.
You could have answered that question by looking at some original VW literature. You could view virtually all of the brochures online - here's one for the T6

Our show sponsor has a 2018 T6 Sportline factory Kombi to sell - Comfort dash, 204 BHP BiTurbo, twin slider, some relatively low miles (about 60k I recall), full Van King system in the back with a slide-out 200kg tray, cooking pod, etc.
That's £36k
Might seem a lot for an 8 year old van but that was against 110 bhp 5 speed, T6.1 conversions with twice the miles on for the same money

best option, the 110 5 speed is the least desirable option.

I think that was the Sportline that went to MSRT.
