My van is manual but for the Golf, which is DSG, I’ve always found the main dealer to be on a par (for once) with anywhere else local price wise and I’m going to assume the main dealer might have the correct oil. So DSG service is the one thing that still gets me to a main dealer - literally everything else on both the car and van I use either of my favourite and trusted indys
I used Lookers Guilford. As above, local indy was as expensive if not slightly more. I couldn't buy the oil and filter for a lot less than their price, so got them to do it. Friend suggests Wheelbase in walton/weybridge as knows their service dept is run by ex-VW mechanic with good reputation.

My trusted local Indy won’t touch the DSG box or Haldex. He says that for what it costs, take it to the dealer, so I do. Last time a DSG oil change at JCT600 in Sheffield was £120.

I’ve had 2 vans off them and was (until he moved on) on first name terms with the service manager. It’s also a Yorkshire company and they are used to dealing with Yorkshire folk.
