Locking Of Van, Being A Complete Noob Soz

ok so a bit of a daft question and to see what other ideas people do ,

So with my new Kombi, I have a door lock button up by the wing mirror adjust.
There is a manual lock on the sliding door and the cab doors you can pop the locks on,
There isn’t one on the tailgate.

What do people do to lock the doors when sleeping in without having any sensors go off.
And also does anyone have a superstitious routine they do.

Thanks

CJ

I do believe there is a button on the pillar behind the drivers seat to turn of internal sensors.

Oh is that the sensor disengage switch for the transportation. I will have to look.

I was just putting it out there to see what others did :)

We don’t bother - might consider if wild camping but on sites we don’t lock the doors when sleeping - no different to years of camping in tents.

Use the b pillar button when locking if leaving the van on site as smallest bugs seem to set internal sensors off when camping.

Doesn’t the door lock button lock your tailgate, mine does?

Edit: mind you I don’t have internal sensors so I don’t know if it would arm them. Wouldn’t have thought so though?

I am sure it does Andys, I just haven’t tried the combination yet.
I know on my old golf mk v you thought the doors were locked but outside u could still open them when inside.

The tailgate is the only door on my t6 that doesn’t have a manual lock.

I did say at the start it’s a stupid question :D

Yes the doors would still be able to open from inside. It’s not a stupid question, mine didn’t even have an internal release for the tailgate which seems daft, so I had to fit one myself.
