Locking a Trendline Kombi from the inside

Hi,
This has probably already been discussed so apologies.
I'm wanting to know how to lock the van from the inside whilst camping in it.

we went away last night to try camping in the van, I thought I could simply press the lock button on the driver's door to lock us in but it doesn't work when the engine is off. So I locked the front doors and the slider but couldn't lock the tailgate. So I used the dog lead and lashing points to keep that locked .

Have you tried putting the ignition on, so the dash lights up and off again then trying? I know the elec windows are on a timer and only work for so long once you switch the ign off.

Also, if you have an alarm, there is usually a button on the B post to press before you lock it - this disables the alarm and deadlocks.

Perhaps have a play on the drive. The manual might be worth a read to clarify /confirm some of the points above.

Yeah I tried that last night and I was going to lock it with the key fob but, we were told there’s an alarm on it but we weren’t sure whether it had movement sensors, so I didn’t risk it and I can’t see a button on the b post.
I should have tried it before I went really that will teach me.

I took the manual with me too but when I realised my mistake it was 11.30pm.

I’ll have a play tomorrow see what I can work, but thanks for your help.
