Little advice with dealing with the dealer.

Morning

My Shuttle has finally gone in for a new Driveshaft after a 4 month wait and a software recall.

I have spoken to the dealer about how I'm not happy about a 4 month wait for a driveshaft replacement and made my concerns over possible gearbox issues due to having to drive the van while faulty. I asked about an extended warranty incase of any issues in the future. However they wasn't very helpful. So my question is should I be able to get some extra cover and if so what's the best way to go about it?

Many thanks
Charlie

I complained about an issue I had with my new Kombi (within the first hour of ownership) and eventually got the dealer to agree to a 2 year service plan and extending the warranty to 5 years. I raised the issue with VW directly due to poor communication from the dealers so I would persevere if I were you. I am a first time VW owner and I used this for the extended warranty saying it would give me the confidence to remain with the brand as I intended to keep the van for a long time
