Light white scratches near door

Hi

I got my T6 a month ago.

There are a few white lines visible near the sliding door mostly on the front passenger door. They don’t feel thick but the van is Indium grey and the white lines are very visible.

I’ve no detailing experience at all. I know absolutely nothing about anything like that.

From what I have Googled, if it’s a white line it means the likes of T Cut original won’t get rid of them.

Would I be looking at getting VW touch up paint or pen to fill these in?

I will take a photo of the white lines. That might be helpful. (They are not the best photos!)

Okay so looking closely I think the white lines running down the side of the door will have been rubbed off paintwork and there are two very fine lines which are grey so I think T cut would get those out? And I’d need to apply wax or something after to protect the paintwork after using T Cut?

Thanks for reading my waffle!

You have a 2 part (paint and lacquer) finish.

Put the T-Cut down, all you'll do is burnish off the lacquer and expose the paint layer to air where it will degrade.

You can machine polish light scratches out of the lacquer with care, but anything that's gone through needs more thought.

Thanks

It’s def not polish.

Would some touch up paint be no good?

Might have to contact ChipsAway or Mr Magic type person.
