Leisure Battery wont charge

Battery has been absolutely fine for 2 years since conversion, went to use the van this weekend and it was flat (it has a split charger on it).
Stuck it on the mains for a few hours then drove half an hour to our night stop and still nothing in the battery. Put on the solar for the afternoon, still nothing.
Seems that something must have 'come off' somewhere OR do the batteries just die overnight?
Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times or if it is an impossible question!

I think I may have answered my own question though! Positive clamp was loose on the battery and so will check again when I get home to make sure it has taken some charge onboard.
Either that or your telepathic powers are strong……….?
