Lazer -750 T6.1 Integrated Kits - Beam Alignment Question

Good Morning.

To those that have fitted these, can I just ask how critical alignment is, or how did you get correct alignment/positioning of the lights (Basically the tilt so they are not projecting too far up or down).

I've done all the wiring, and hopefully going to cut the grill today and pop the lights in.

Seen loads of fitting guides but no-one talks about this, or will it become obvious when I actually bolt them in. At this juncture I'm guessing I just settle for the lights being as perpendicular to the ground as possible.

Well, managed to get the lights installed today. Just been out for a drive and I reckon they’re pointing too high. It’s ever so slightly misty and I can see the square beam emitting from the lamps and then illuminating the tops of the trees . They do look ‘right’ in the grille but guess they are quite sensitive and need tweaking. Think I’ll take them out again tomorrow, slacken the bolt’s slightly so I can easily tilt them then go out and find a deserted dark road and adjust to suit.
Just interested how others have got on.

I've the ST4 and used a spirit level to determine when the face of the lamps were dead vertical.

Ah. Good idea. Thanks @ Sasquatch, when you did that ( with van on level floor) did you find the throw was as intended?

Just been out to check using an angle finder. They’re pointing ‘up’ by about 3.5 degrees, (not bad I guess for quickly putting them
In ‘by eye’) so guess that’s not helping. I’ll tweak over the next few days and report back. TBF thought I’d be ‘lucky’ if I got it right first time, but good to know about the spirit level if that gets them Bob on.

For closure, thought I’d post. I got round to ‘tweaking’ the lights yesterday as per @Sasquatch recommendation of using a spirit level. I too can confirm this works a treat. I managed to park the van up level on part of my drive and used a spirit level on the sill and the interior foot step to ensure she was level.
I then popped the lights in with the mounting bolts not fully tight. Popped some masking tape by the mounting point so I could mark when they were aligned. (Front face of light perpendicular to ground as indicated by spirit level). Whipped them out and fully tightened.
Took it out last night and all is good.
Lights are just in a different league to the standard halogens. (Although I specced my van from new, and although I had the funds, I simply couldn’t justify in my head, the £2k inc VAT for front and rear LED).
For reference:
Yes it’s a T6.1.
Yes it’s got A/C.
NO…….I didn’t take the bumper off.

It ‘can’ with patience be done and all the wiring is wrapped in loom tape, follows existing wires and the trim behind the grille is cut neatly so the whole install looks ‘OEM’.

An example of my OCD is the A/C cover that I managed to remove with the bumper on, by popping the top clips on the upper grille and cutting the cover with a mini rotary tool. Then popped it back.

Also my wring which looks standard.

I can perhaps do a ‘how I done it guide’ for this method, as I’ve got loads of photos, but if you’re going to tackle it I’m sure you are competent.

In conclusion, I was happy to take the bumper off , and in reality time saved was probably nil with a bit more swearing doing it with bumper on, but I just wanted to see if it could be done.

I did similar, but used spiral wrap to allow my own wiring to follow the loom where id routed it.
