Imagine, throw warm water on your frozen windscreen, get in the van, flick the wipers on and nowt!
Try again… nothing.
Trip to @Dav-Tec early morning, thankfully no wipers required on my journey. Phew!!
Chris scans the van with VCDS, looks like a replacement stalk, ordered, fitted, still no wipers with the earlier fault cleared.
So now the search starts for the culprit, removal of the bottom of the dash to get access to the fuse panel, still nothing though. Chris notices the fuse holder for the stalks and washers is lose and slightly melted, very slightly.
Chris pulled the whole of the fuse panel out, replaces the fuse holder and at the same time sorts out the piggy backs I have.
Back to the wiper stalk… and it works. I would never have found the faulty fuse holder ever.
You can’t beat experience and that is why Chris works on my van.
