Kombi a commercial vehicle?

What about insurance?
Sometimes I think the various govt depts, insurance companies etc. seem to interpret rules/laws to suit their angle/agenda?

A Kombi classified as a car and subject to BiK for tax purposes, usually as a van for speed limits, but always for insurance?

As a retired person, who owns a rental property I have to declare whether I carry any tools if/when travelling to/from the rental. Selling rental soon.
So all use will be SD&P.

In 5 years I’ve not yet found a broker/insurance co. who classifies a Transporter Kombi LWB as a car.

Had my T32 downrated to 3000kg max as I don’t use it to carry anything more that our luggage/shopping.

If only all these entities could consult each other and agree…..
Not holding my breath….
