Knock and twang

I was driving today and a new knock started under the drivers wheel. It sounds a bit like a knock and/or a twang and I can feel it under the accelerator pedal…a bit like something springing against the wheel arch. Couldn’t pin point a specific time it did it - seemed random.

Any ideas anyone? I’m touring Ireland at the moment so will try find a garage!!

Can you turn the wheels and inspect your springs?
Maybe a broken spring?

Yeah that was my initial thinking. I did my best to have a look but couldn’t see anything. Found a local garage in Annagry so as long as it last the 30mins to sea fishing tomorrow I’ll take it straight there!!

Likely to be Pollock tomorrow I think…usually decent little few hours with one of the local fishermen

Yeah I'm going with a broken spring .
Might be worth a poke around the fronts to make sure its not gonna stick in a front tyre .

Had a good look and can’t see anything obvious. I’ll take it easy until I can get to the garage - rolling Irish roads aren’t overly forgiving though!!

Quite possibly a top mount on the strut….?
