Kenwood 8021 and PDC sensors

I’ve recently purchase and had a Kenwood DMX 8021 DAB at Halfords. The old standard unit had rear parking sensor come up on screen. Now with the Kenwood that as gone. So before I go back to Halfords asking, I just want to make sure this isn’t correct and the parking sensor should show on screen when I’m in reverse.

Depends what adaptor you have from the original wiring. I have an 8021 from @Absolut5 and the sensors work and show up on the screen and as audio.

Does it come up with the camera instead when in reverse ? I had to change the settings in the stereo to turn off the camera as I don’t have a camera .

I’ve not got a camera fitted yet so it might be a settings thing. All I have is the factory reverse parking sensors

They wouldn’t have used the correct adapter,

They may also try to install a connects2 infoadapter at will display them through the reverse camera port, refuse this as its graphical poor ,

We only use genuine Kenwood interface to play display through the CanBus input port

The part alone is £150.00 , cannot comment on how much some would charge to install it, but you can do it yourself , it plugs straight into the vehicles qualdlock and into the back of the head unit, no extra wiring is needed, no coding, all you need is 2 tools , one to remove the trim and a screwdriver

What camera is it ? Does it have factory parking sensors ?

Nope but it used to on the old standard unit, I saw online it does with the Kenwood hence I got that one, could you let me know how I can purchase from you
