....turns out I've only just realised that my sliding door does not lock with the central locking! Good job I've not left a few grands worth of road bike in the back over night on a few occasions!!!

Anyone have any ideas? Tried it with the key and still not joy!!

Haha!!

At least I know the alarm will go off and that'll wake half the town up that I live in so that's one thing at least! Luckily I've got it booked in with VW at 7am for something else so will be mentioning it to them and see what they say!

Paranoia after I had a previous car that would do that sometimes... Every vehicle since, I check all the doors after pressing the lock button. Turned into a bit of an OCD :)

Have you checked the door contact to see if that's the issue? Possibly a bit of a rub with emery paper??

I need to have another look this weekend but I think I might have fixed it....I think the lock button on the inside was sticking so wasn't getting pulled down with the central locking. I had to force it down from the inside to lock it and it seems to of freed it up. Still seems quite stiff though so might see if I can take the housing off and see what's what.

Have you tried the wiring connections under the seat that's where power for electric lock is connected from maybe disconnected or loose!!

It's not power, it's defo an issue with the button on the inside of the sliding door. You could hear it trying to be pulled down. I haven't got the van at the moment as it's in for some paint work so I will have a proper look over the weekend.

Ah ok well it must just be something mechanical so and hopefully a handy fix for you
Best off luck sorting it out

Did you ever resolve this. I think my sliding door is the same. It seems to not lock 8 out of 10 times. All the other doors lock.

Any ideas?

My T5.1 did it. When i got the door card off you could see that the internal locking button is attached to a piece of bent wire which disappears into the locking mechanism. There was resistance where the wire went in to the mechanism- almost like it was going through a dry rubber seal. Anyway, i lubricated it and it cured it. Assume T6 would be the same.

Was just going to say exactly the same, the whole sliding door button activation is a bit shonky and low tech and very sensitive to being lined up exactly right.

I've just been and cleaned the electrical contacts on the door, the bottom of the three was quite grubby. It seems to have solved it. I’ll keep an eye on it to be sure.

Sorry for delay Tom. Glad yours seems to be fixed. Mine has been fine since, guess it was just the dodgy mech.

I’ve just got this fault on mine.

It locks, but doesn’t deadlock. If you push the button down before you lock it, the deadlocking works fine.

It was coming up with

03303 - feedback locked - position rear left

Plan to whip the sliding door card off and clean/lubricate.

We had one that locked but then unlocked when deadlocked! Was the door module in the slider, replaced under warranty.

Blimey. Worth checking then! Ta.

This seems to lock ok, but not deadlock. If you sit in the back and push the button down, then lock with the remote, the deadlocking works OK. I think it’s a combination of low temperature (plastics hardening) low voltage in the main battery (not used for a week) and my van being temperamental (typical!)
