Well last week I had a close encounter at work with a colleague that has tested positive. I have had the high temp and cough since yesterday. So I went for a test this morning at a drive through. The thing is I am finding this isolation thing a bit boring. What I really need to make me feel better is some Transporter related retail therapy. Bearing in mind those on the new order delays thread already know I am unlikely to see my van before April. Any good suggestions of where to browse goodies. I already have wheels, b14s, spoilers etc and ply panels already lined and in the study. If anyone has any suggestions where to get my retail medicine, please pass on your tips...cheers Woodman.

@travelvolts for 12v Leisure electrics.

@Absolut5 for some audio goodies

Good luck with it. I’m finishing my isolation tomorrow (into tier 4 now so not much difference!) and I went for a turbo trainer which I used for the 2 days between isolating after the wife’s positive test and me getting ill and then a dashcam for the van which arrived today in good time to give me something to do over the Xmas vacation!

Get some wheel sealant and get them all nicely sealed at your own pace before the van arrives

good shout currently they are getting sealed with sawdust in my workshop as my wife didnt want me putting them in the house, aversion to the smell of rubber :)

I tested positive on Friday :-( had a slight cough sore throat most of the week but not much else.

Isolating watching lots of Netflix, Amazon and Disney +, managed to see Star wars rise of Skywalker at last, wasn't worth the wait lol.

Have you got a tow bar? I can copy the westfalia electrics install instructions - that should keep you going for a few days!

Hope you all get better soon!

Ian

Thanks Ian, My van when they finally build it is having a removable bar fitted so thanks anyway. I may try and plan where to run wiring ready for the camper conversion when we get to it

I also find studying other peoples build threads quite enthusing and inspiring!

I’m awaiting santa’s arrival before major works on my other toy - engine out to fit a different oil tank which is part of the gearbox bell housing. Heater going back in and moving the battery (again). Car runs a dry sump oil system suitable for track use. Also, uprated front hubs and change an oil seal on the gearbox.

Got my positive result this morning :( Trouble is I am in the high risk category fingers crossed I have already peaked.

That doesn’t sound like a nice Xmas present!

Hope you are feeling better soon and can enjoy the only element of Christmas left namely eating and drinking!

Thanks, think I am over the hump, Trouble is I wont be able to sneakily tuck into the tubs of chocolates as I am confined to barracks in my bedroom and I normally do the cooking!

Thats it allowed out tomorrow, the dog will get his first walk for 10 days...better take several bags! Never before has a trip to Tescos seemed so appealing
