Is my leisure battery dead ?

I think i know the answer tbh but before i go ahead an buy a new leisure battery would you all agree mine is goosed? It's about 3.5 years old and noticed when my night heater failed to come on in the cold last week and the error code was low voltage.

Those suddens drops are extremely high loads on the battery.....

Or the battery is unable to deliver the power and drops voltage.

Looks knackered...

Sound like a good time to upgrade that battery to a Lithium.

They are dropping to almost the same as SLA prices.

we already have them in phones, tablets, laptops, vape sticks, Tesla cars . . . . and now cars & Vans.


There have been a couple of versions of Lithium batteries . . . . and some scare stories associated with them.

What’s it hooked up to? Maybe just a split charge relay from that voltage profile?

My guess is it’s pretty knackered from those readings but it’s worth hooking it up to a decent charger to see how it gets on.

It's run by a Ctek 250dse ....only reading 7v this morning and not even going up with the engine running. My sub amp is running off the leisure battery and its not even putting out enough power to run the amp at all.

I can't get a lithium under the seat due to the extra height unless there is one the same size as an agm battery.

Only one i found with breaking the bank is out of stock.

You can get some very compact lithium batteries, my guess is you can fit one in - possibly on its side rather than upright.

It's not one of the top brands..

And there no mention of warranty period.

But it's got an app for monitoring.

And the spec looks ok

2 Years on this one ......not great for Lithium.
