Intermittent blower

Hey all,

I’ve an intermittent blower issue, anyone got any thoughts.
The blower (doesn’t matter if it’s hot or cold, ac on or off) will start off fine on 1,2,3 or 4, then seems to lose power. The actual fan motor doesn’t appear to change tone, it’s just what pressure comes out the vents.

I’ve had t5’s in the past that have had the resistor go, but that just stops them working on 1,2 & 3 yet works on 4. I can hear my fan changing through the numbers, yet little pressure actually coming through the vents!

I’ve already got what appears to be a dodgy wire/connector (pin 2) on my washer pump, any possible chance these are connected?

Any thoughts, input would be great

The T6 has the same fan blower resistor which can fowl and is a common problem.

Speeds one two and three but four will still work..

Have you tried different directions of airflow as in down to the floor or up to the screen?

Have you tried it in recirculation mode?

I'm wondering if you've got plots cabin filter we've leaves or maybe a blocked inlet in the plenum chamber behind the battery?

Maybe you have a fe blow a motor?

You don't say what spec or model type your van is?

You don't say if you have the auto climate control?

As the blend Doors are electronically controlled

The T6.1 has a slightly different setup

Apologies, it’s a 2018 Kombi highline, not auto climate control.
All speeds work, so I’m thinking not the resistor.
It’s fine for so long, then just loses pressure coming out the vents.

After how long?

The tone stays the same?

Pull the cabin filter out from underneath and give it another go.... See what cack comes out on the filter.
