Insurance Recommendations Please

Purchased first van a few months back with plans to convert and found Admiral decent as they do a modified van insurance and you are covered with listed mods up to full conversion. 12 years no claims bonus, late 30's and it was £510

Ageas via Just Kampers, £411. Fux are quoting £469 renewal...for identical conditions with the same underwriter.

Now, which should I choose? 🤔
Scrub that.

Checked my emails today and Just Kampers had described my van as a T6.

I rang them up and explained its a 6.1, not a 6. The lass on the phone got slightly sarcastic in her tone of voice and said words to the effect, "well I'll change it if you think point one makes a difference."

Well, I reckon point one would make a huge difference if my van was written off and the underwriters wanted an excuse to not pay out, so Hans Kammler lost an easy bit of business.

A simple, "oh, sorry, I'll change that now for you, no worries," would have got them my business but the lass from Just Desserts couldt keep a lid on the sarcastic tone so sod her.

Rang Flux, who appear to be able to tell a 6.1 and, say, a Ford Zodiac apart without getting snarky, and they got the quote down to only £423, so they got a years easy repeat business.

NFU if your van is registered as a Motor Caravan and it has a professional conversion.
Seem to come top in the Which league of motor insurers every year.
