Hello all

First post ! I've been around fast cars for years but now with 2 kids It's time to get something cool and sensible.

Picking up a T6 on Monday and insurance quotes are coming in at over £600, I'm 31 good postcode etc.

The van is still reg as a van but it's got crew seats and a bed at the rear but not a camper on V5, is there any companies that insure the middle ground? E.G just day van for social.

Direct Line charge me £327 fully comp, for a Kombi, I'm 54 years young, if that helps. I have many years of no claims and no points, just a day on the Speed Awareness Naughty Step, which doesn't count.

I use JustKampers and my premium is a bit over half your quote with an 'agreed value' of £37K. That's for a 2018 T6 Highline 150PS with full camper version. FWIW, I'm more than twice your age in another good post code with 6 points on my license but full (and protected) no claims bonus.

JustKampers have come in the best at the moment, £320.

I use Aviva, panel van but for SDPC only. Was able to carry over 9 years car NCB to use on the van.
