The only other local sales outlet that springs to mind is Hoyles in Denholme. They're a camper conversion company, but they may sell you a van pre-conversion.

No worries. I can't recommend anywhere for maintenance options as mine's not even reached its first service yet, but I seem to remember @Bigsidavies mentioning an indy garage off Leeds Road, Huddersfield, so that might be of interest.
Re MOT, unless your van is a T32 non-camper, then it'll need only a Class 4 MOT, so anywhere you'd take a car for an MOT would be okay.

Ok thanks, I don’t think service will be due for couple months so hopefully @Bigsidavies or any others local may have some suggestions in coming weeks. Good to know on the MOT
I’ve been using a place called IVS on Manchester road in Huddersfield. Used them for both my van and my Skoda. They’ve been good so far and seem fair. Have all the dealership computer link so they can update your service record on the VW system too.

On my post rounds when I talk to other like-minded VW owners I have had quite a few recommendations for this company.
I think I will be trying them next time, I like how they advertise the prices for the work they do.
