Can anyone identify this part attached to the bottom of the inside of my T5.1 highline tailgate? I'm curious, but also planning to insulate around here and like to consider any implications. Thanks.
Looks like it could be the rear of the key barrel, guessing the tip of the key blade would rotate the black piece which would make contact with the micro switch ??
I think you are right. I can feel the slotted switch on the underside (can't open as it's crammed in garage). Thanks guys. I've taped over the case and insulated around it.
