I like it when a plan comes together

Finally getting all my bits fitted today to bus.

Did the focal front components in the other day but was waiting for the rest to arrive.

Built my sub box yesterday so I'll get that finished and in along with the amp and rear speakers.
Exciting times!

Hope the sub box fits

The original plan wouldn't work. There's actually another small bit of the chair structure comes down towards the back of that space.

I played with the shape as size but kept coming up with too small a volume.

I've kept the same volume (was toying with going larger and ported but the port length and size was growing into a minefield of research) so I've stuck with 14.3lt volume after displacement which is what rockford recommend.

I'm going behind the double seat now. It's actually a bit of a dead space anyway with my storage nets and stuff finishing short of there.

The plan hasn't gone to plan lol

Got everything in today, getting the power through was actually a bitch of a job lol

So got everything wired up and..... Nothing.

Checked and no power at amp.

The inline fuse was blown?!?

I've checked and rechecked everything so I'll have to head out and get a couple of fuses later.

Crisis over.

Not the first time in my life I've found a fuse that just isn't right on first power up.

Nipped out after taking the wife you A&E (unrelated, I didn't get a rage on about the fuse and take it out on her) and got a couple of fuses.

Powered up and works brilliantly.

I've got a lovely warm bassy but not overpowering sound.
My overall aim was to get it so that I could hear all the instruments and vocals etc without having to turn the volume right up to get the benefit.

Now you really can hear things in the music that just weren't there playing through the OE speakers.

I'll do a couple of pics and an equipment list tomorrow at some point!

Dead happy

Decided to hide the amp under the dash, it's behind the panel just to the left of your left drivers footrest.

With the exception of the rear speakers (which are positioned for the best sound) I've tried to go understated and hidden.
The rear speakers as they are in show I've just tried to make it look as classy as I can.

The system is as follows;

VW-008 android head unit from Preston ice

Focal front components and sound deadening from Skiptons

Rear speaker pods from skiptons

Focal coax rear speakers (can't remember who from)

Kicker punch mono amplifier (300w rms)

Matched kicker punch 300w rms 10" sub, already chosen then found on eBay used but bnib for under half price

Kicker remote eq

Vibe wiring kit

Diy sealed box built to rockford fosgate recommended size guide (to the 0.1lt)

Looks great
But... when I read the title I was half expecting to open to a picture of a Black T6 with a grey front section, a red stripe, a red spoiler and some red turbine wheels.....
