How to remove this?

Over winter the van has started to go green around the windows, door handles and bits of trim.
What’s the best way to remove it and hopefully to stop it coming back?..

APC and a soft nail brush.
If you don't have any APC just use soapy water.

Probably would but I don't think it would be such a good idea to be blasting a pressure washer at the sliding door windows.

Used to jet wash the window seals until doing it trashed the lower door speakers. They were full of rust from water ingress.

Use all purpose cleaner, let it dwell then brush it off

then jetwash. (just be sensible)
