Hook up plug type options

Soooo I'm still looking at changing out our hook up and came across Seatronic Seatronic Power In Plug 20 Amp - Power Connectors
Anybody ever seen them before ?
I like the idea of plug in and twist .
There was a post on here about differnt hook up option, they looked quite good, until it was mentioned what happens if one breaks when on a trip, and you cant get a replacement. Compared with the 'normal' ones that are sold everywhere. Got me thinking I would just stick to the tried and tested common ones.

Ideally I'm looking for something smaller than a standard ehu plug so that i can fix it somewhere different (not decided where yet)but the more discreet the better in my book.
I always carry enough kit to be able to rig something should the worst happen.

The specification doesn’t even mention the IP rating, personally I would avoid.
No CE or UKCA accreditation, I think that would be a non starter in the ‘events industry’ they mention in the marketing.

Have a look at the Neutrik powerCON TRUE1 range. You’d have to suitably protect/seal the “internal” side of the chassis connector.

Don't forget that whatever system you go for, the part on the van needs to be an inlet. Easy to get carried away ordering and end up trying to mate a pair of females.....

That means that the van end of the lead has the male and therefore the potential to get your fingers on the live conductors then ? 🤔

My van's deffo male... and so's his EHU connector.

Sorry, I wrong, edited above. You wouldn’t get electrocuted as you wouldn’t be able to plug into the site outlet!
I just use solar as you can tell.

This connector is used in n commercial PA and DJ equipment.

I've had some decent PA DJ gear that had them.... They are preferred over the IEC plug as they lock in.

I don't think they are IP67 rated though?
