I was gonna make a barn door version many years ago but didn't fancy cutting a big hole .

How does that work with the back? Tailgate and Barn doors? Does the cable run through the same conduit as the lights?

Yes, the barn door runs through the rubber conduit with the other wires, no problem.

The tailgate is a little more tricky, but customers have fed the cable from the top of the tailgate and fished it out. Lets gravity work with you that way around.
