I bought mine at 3 years / 40000 miles, now approaching 80000 after another 4 years. Love it. Only ever needed an oil seal on haldex unit and a suspension bush. I had belt and water pump replaced at 4 year mark and regular oil changes and services.
I've done plenty of upgrades inside and out, which help to keep it fresh.

It's the longest I've owned a vehicle and I'm in no rush to part with it.

...oh and I get around 42mpg...
(140 bhp stage one mapped to 180 bhp, 6 speed manual).

At 7,000 miles I would say, look after it and it should last you a lifetime.

I got my 2017 204bitdi 4Mo at 3 years old with 95k on it. It’s now on 123k. Love it.
Maybe the mileage will cause me a problem maybe it won’t. I tend not to really worry about stuff. Oil changes roughly between 7k and 10k since I’ve had it. For the price of half a tank of fuel why not do regular oil changes?
