Hi
I’m sorry to post this but I just can’t seem to get to the right solution.
I have a 2018 4motion Dsg T32.
I’ve just bought the van and it had fitted bilstein coil overs and Pirelli’s 255 35 20 98r tires on black calibre
I swapped the tyres for 255 40 20 101 xl Bridgestone T005 tires 69db, as I was told the Pirelli’s were road tyres.
My problem is The tyres are so noisy, the ride is terrible at 38psi or 42 psi. And van feels so bumpy.
The van is not a low rider and is my day van. I don’t carry heavy weight apart from her indoors and two dogs and 3 kids, couple of bikes . That sort of thing.
All I want is a nice quite ride and decent tyres. My old van ran H&R suspension, bilstein shockers and Range Rover 275 40 20’alloys. It was awesome aprt from small rub on front on full lock.
Has anybody please any recommendations on what i should do to get a nice ride, quite ride and meet all legal requirements for a T32 van. I’d like to stick to 20” alloys.
I’ve attached photos of alloys and orginal pirelli tires.
Thanks I’m advance.

First things first, neither tyre you mention is load rated for a T32, which needs a minimum 103 load rated tyre. Even if you don't intend to run at maximum weight, you should still have the correct tyres fitted.
I'd suggest you have a search on this forum, top right corner, there's tons of information available on 20 inch tyre sizes and specifications!

Hi
I’ve already done my searches and could not find anything that suited me so I posted.
And I’m aware the tyres are load rated hence needing help.
I’m after options on setups what people have found that worked with my same setup.
I’ve just had a private message that suggests 255 45 20 tyres @ 105 xl rated.
A quick google search reveals Michelin tyres removed popular for low noise

No offence intended but you say in your first post that when you bought the van it had 98 load rated tyres on and you replaced them with 101 load rated tyres, which are still not correct, so I assumed you weren't aware that you needed 103 load rated tyres.
Wheels, tyres and suspension are one huge, interactive subject, hopefully you will get the right advice on here, I'm not on 20's so I don't know what tyre would be best for you, I simply wanted to alert you to the load rating issue, if your van needs a Class 7 MOT it would fail the MOT with the current tyres.
Have a read of this thread, all relevant:

Yes that’s correct
I just went with what was recommended online with tyres on the drive
I’ve had a good chat with a guy tonight and I’m having some 255 45 20 Michelin pilot sport SUV 105 xl tyres fitted on Thursday.
So hopefully that will help me legal and comfort wise.
