Out of curiosity did you get the quote to change the regulator if so how much did they want to charge.

Guy I emailed (caravan and camper gas engineer) never replied.

I do wonder if I am expected to get a certificate or hab check etc? Or is that all just extra reassurances?

I will of course be reassured if no leaks detected

You only need a certificate if you rent your van out.

Quite easy for me as a retired heating engineer but if you replace it yourself you will need some leak detector fluid some use washing up liquid mixed with water if any gas leaks it will bubble but remember to wipe off any residue when finished.

I have a Gok regulator in a gas box. With a 907 bottle. Does the regulator have to be specifically fitted vertically. I’ve fitted mine horizontally with 8mm pipe coming in the side of the gas locker. Hole is grommeted. Thanks
