Hello!

New here and looking to buy my first van. From my initial look around here it seems a great informative site!

Looking for a T6 SWB ideally with a tailgate soon.

I'd love to convert to a kombi and carpet it all myself. I don't mind installing seats and windows as well as lowering it myself either so looking forward to it!!

Can't wait to get started with something.

Welcome to the forum! I've been here for months and still don't have a van - although hopefully in about ten days...... Unlike you and a lot of people here, I've taken the lazy option and had someone do mine for me. For' lazy', read 'hugely expensive' - as many on here will point out, prepare to have all your worldly wealth removed - but you'll enjoy the experience! Doing it yourself must provide heaps of self satisfaction, but I want it now!!:grin bounce:

I'm preparing myself!! Luckily having grown up around cars all my life in my dad's garage I'm no stranger to swapping suspension, engine things etc etc so cutting some windows in to make it a kombi if I need to, adding in seats, carpeting is just time. So, you don't have yours but do you mean just not physically as a company is emptying your bank??

I've got a LWB Indium Grey 204DSG being cut up by Three Bridge in Milton Keynes. They're just getting to the exciting bit of fitting the goodies, and I've just ordered a set of 19" Judd T311Rs to go on it. I've gone for the whole hog including suspension mods, Reimo everything, custom leather, all electric, hot water including shower, induction hob, 3kW inverter, solar panel, the list goes on... and on... and that's why I can see my bank balance plummeting! It should be ready by the end of next week, and we're off to the Lakes in August tc392b323-5acf-4f26-b137-9c1688961c47.JPGo test it!IMG_7923.JPGIMG_7924.JPG14c8985b-f83d-48c3-8a89-61c07a5a56fe.JPG
